What To Do First to Make a Profit

The PF Women Team at our Annual Team Retreat  ~ 2018 Today on Seth Godin's blog, he said: It's tempting to decide to make a profit first, then invest in training, people, facilities, promotion, customer service and most of all, doing important work. In general, though, it goes the other way. Yes, it does. If you are waiting to make a profit before you do these things, in my experience you're  not going to make a profit. So many organizations, ministries and churches are struggling with financial issues. I know your pain. As anyone who follows our story knows, our ministry was in a ton of debt four years ago when I came on as director.  Since that time, we've gotten out of debt and turned a profit every year.  God has done amazing things through out team, for which we give Him the glory! Some more photos of my surroundings

I realize most of you who read my blog have not been to my house, at least yet! Being that I'm the queen of hospitality...if you ever come anywhere near Tampa, I insist that you come and visit me! Until then, here are some photos of my house so when I blog you can picture me here...where I live, both inside and out. I think it helps as you read what a person writes to picture their surroundings...so here you go...

You have a beautiful home, not to mention that it's huge (smile). We live in an apartment at the present, I'm waiting patiently but with anticipation for the day that God blesses me with my dream home.

I love the decorating also - I dont have that gift but my husband does an awesome job - when he decides to do it (lol).

I loved this would you like to see photos of my home and then when your in South Africa (because Jen and Charl have just join an AOG church where they live so I told them all about you) you can know where you going to have tea with me! and I will definetly have tea with you in tampa come 2008/9. love always me

In the early hours of this morning, Jordan got home from work and checked his facebook and instantly received an IM from a friend who claimed to be in London, having been just robbed at gunpoint. Understandably Jordan was very concerned. His friend said he needed Jordan to send him some money immediately, as he was stranded. Jordan immediately alerted his father and I of the situation, thinking it was real and his friend needed help and wanted to know what he could or should do to reach out. Thankfully I had just heard on the news the day before that this was a new facebook scam where people were hacking into people's accounts and contacting their friends to ask for money, saying that they were in dangerous or dire situations. Have you chosen a word of the year?

Selecting a personal word of the year has been my custom for many years. The word is my theme of the year and something for me to focus on, to build my faith and to grow. Each year I look for ways to remind myself of the theme…everything from a decorative sign with the word, to a piece of jewelry. This year my word is resilient.  All my life I have had to be resilient, and some years more than others.   I know it is this way with everyone to a degree. No one is immune to pain or problems. But frankly, some people are more resilient than others.   I have been studying those who are most resilient and trying to learn from them.
