I said I was going to do this.

I'm sure everyone but my loyal readers who know I have the courage or the lack of wisdom to do this thought I was joking.  )

Why has it been so long between my promise to do this review  and my actually doing it?  Well, not "it".  I mean, the review of course.  Silly people...I have slept with my husband since then.   It's just that I kept forgetting to order my free sample box of Zestra.  When I did remember, I didn't have my bank card handy.

Bank card?  Isn't this a free box?  Well, yes.  But you do have to pay the shipping.  I paid like $4 for it or something like that.  So I know, you're dying to know if it's worth it.  Others of you are clicking to remove your subscription from my blog right now.  Caio!

One surefire way to kill your influence in social media and wear out your welcome fast is to become involved in derailing somebody’s comment thread with your own agenda. Networking and hijacking aren’t the same thing. It’s surprising how many people don’t understand that this is a guarantee for tearing down a platform as quickly as you build it.


Passion is good, even necessary. I appreciate people's zeal for their personal core values. What is not appreciated is the attempt at a redirection of a comment thread when the comment has little or nothing to do with an original post or is twisted at best.

Social media provides ample opportunity for all of us to share what’s important to us on our own platform. Eliciting others’ responses and developing connections largely depends on our ability to communicate and compel. The other day my friend, Pastor Leanne Weber, blogged here about the song, "Christmas Shoes" with a funny quote she read on the blog, "Stuff Christians Like", which is a great site I like reading myself...
I have some thoughts on sad Christmas songs, and in particular the "Christmas Shoes" song...
One thing I really don’t understand are morbid Christmas songs. Christmas is such a beautiful, happy occasion. I think it a big strange that some people write sad songs about it. What would you say if you walked into my office and I was sitting at my keyboard and you said, “Pastor Deanna, what’s up? and I said, “Oh, just sitting here writing a song about my Grandmother getting run over…” You’d probably think, ‘how sadistic!” or “wow, she really does need a vacation.” Can’t imagine anything funny about my grandmother dying as she was/is my hero, but apparently some people find a Christmas song about Grandma getting run over by a reindeer to be funny…I never quite g…
