The PF Women Team at our Annual Team Retreat ~ 2018 Today on Seth Godin's blog, he said: It's tempting to decide to make a profit first, then invest in training, people, facilities, promotion, customer service and most of all, doing important work. In general, though, it goes the other way. Yes, it does. If you are waiting to make a profit before you do these things, in my experience you're not going to make a profit. So many organizations, ministries and churches are struggling with financial issues. I know your pain. As anyone who follows our story knows, our ministry was in a ton of debt four years ago when I came on as director. Since that time, we've gotten out of debt and turned a profit every year. God has done amazing things through out team, for which we give Him the glory! I find that what Seth is saying here is absolutely true, with one disclaimer. For Christian leaders, spiritual disciplines must always be first. Before we started i...
Yesterday a package came to our house in the mail and it was from Maddie! No idea how our little angel worked this out but she mailed a package to Savanna and me! Inside it said that it was an "early Christmas present" to us girls from Maddie and there were two mugs that said, "Merry Christmas from Maddie" and all these photos on them. Isn't this so cute? Like most everyone, Maddie knows that I've always got hot tea or coffee in one of these travel cups most places I go. Now Savanna says she's going to carry this with her to the bus stop each day with some hot chocolate. (By the way, Larry was the one who engineered this surprise!)
Maddie also got me this special keychain ...
Adorable, isn't it?
Here she is, checking out some ornaments on our living room tree. She's getting up and around and enjoying checking out what's on the trees.
She says, "Sniff...sniff...what's this, a candy cane?"
"Visions of sugarplums are dancing in my head!!!"
"Okay, I think I'll just lay here for a while and watch Mommy straighten the living room and pick up all my toys...she doesn't seem to mind, at least most of the time. Can you believe I'm actually able to climb on this couch now? I am one blessed dog."
Here's a special gift that I got at church last night from Juleen Stramiello. It's a little travel set of Bath and Body Works Moonlight Path that she put together for me to take on our upcoming trip to Tennessee. (Yes, Larry and I are still taking that trip once Maddie is all better.) How thoughtful of her!
God is so good, to me...all the time. "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" I John 1:3 (KJV)
"If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give good and advantageous things to those who keep on asking Him!" Matthew 7:11 (The Message)

and Moonlight Path is my absolute favorite scent from Bath & Body. Mmmm...I can smell it right now.
Glad to see Maddie able to jump up on the couch! I'm amazed! God answers the most personal prayers!
I agree with Leanne...how funny to be so happy the dog can jump up on the furniture!
Where's that special place in Tennessee? Is it for minister's and wives?
Just wondering....
We're looking for a place to get away too.
If you find out about a place just for pastors, let me know, I'd be interested to know about it too.
