In general, though, it goes the other way. Yes, it does. If you are waiting to make a profit before you do these things, in my experience you're not going to make a profit. So many organizations, ministries and churches are struggling with financial issues. I know your pain. Sis. Coker (one of my mentors) just passed this statistic on to me. In a survey, when people were asked "what is the church’s mission" 11% say “win the lost.” 89% say “to take care of me and my family.”
Is it any wonder why the majority of churches in America have stopped growing and many are in serious conflict? It's because the church has it's eyes on itself instead of looking to the harvest. God help us.
