What To Do First to Make a Profit

The PF Women Team at our Annual Team Retreat  ~ 2018 Today on Seth Godin's blog, he said: It's tempting to decide to make a profit first, then invest in training, people, facilities, promotion, customer service and most of all, doing important work. In general, though, it goes the other way. Yes, it does. If you are waiting to make a profit before you do these things, in my experience you're  not going to make a profit. So many organizations, ministries and churches are struggling with financial issues. I know your pain. As anyone who follows our story knows, our ministry was in a ton of debt four years ago when I came on as director.  Since that time, we've gotten out of debt and turned a profit every year.  God has done amazing things through out team, for which we give Him the glory! Should You Really Be Sharing That?


Fearful people often tell fearless people why they shouldn't do the things fearless people are doing.


"You really shouldn't be this open..."

Why?

"Well, I don't know. I just wouldn't."

If they are a Christian, they might pull the God-card on you.

"Do you feel the Lord wants you to share that?"

The Lord isn't making rounds telling people to suppress themselves, but His people are everywhere cautioning about what may not be prudent.

I have a friend who had several abortions. She has been healed and is sharing her story and helping many people. But everyone in her family isn't happy. "Can't you share about God's love without telling people that particular piece of information? Why do you have to tell people about your abortions? That's kind of personal...is it really wise to be posting about that all over the internet or Facebook? Now people everywhere know there is abortion in our family..." (This mainly comes from her parents and older members of the family who are living in what I call the "Generation of Secrets.")   

People who live in bondage are uncomfortable with those who live in freedom.
Some are are jealous of those who are free.

Don't let anyone talk you out of being free.

In the early hours of this morning, Jordan got home from work and checked his facebook and instantly received an IM from a friend who claimed to be in London, having been just robbed at gunpoint. Understandably Jordan was very concerned. His friend said he needed Jordan to send him some money immediately, as he was stranded. Jordan immediately alerted his father and I of the situation, thinking it was real and his friend needed help and wanted to know what he could or should do to reach out. Sisterhood Rises Up To Change Lives Forever

God is in the business of preserving families. It is His heart. It's my heart too. And, I'll unabashedly say here that I believe it should be everyone's heart. Everyone likes good news and I've got some for you today. If you are in doubt that God still speaks today and that He uses people to accomplish His work, I pray this will speak to you. Last night I was sitting in service at Celebration Church where we are pastors, and my husband was preaching.
