My son Jordan is just impossible not to love. Last night when he and Larry co-hosted the show, I was laughing so hard I was crying in the first two minutes. First Larry comes on and does the opener of the show and then introduces Jordan and he says, "Jordan, we are believing for great things tonight! So, how do you feel about being here?" And Jordan says, "I'm pretty dang excited! God is going to do amazing things!!!" Did he just say "I'm pretty dang excited" on national Christian TV? (Well, actually the show goes worldwide...) You know, I strongly believe that everybody needs to be pretty dang excited about the Lord! If more Christians were pretty dang excited I think we could see a nation shaking revival. Dang! * Larry is hosting the show again tonight. Not sure if I'll go with him to co-host or if Jordan will but we'll see. I have Easter rehearsal tonight after church and so I'm not sure if I'll be too tired or not after starting...

Just FYI that Larry and Jordan are co-hosting America's Prayer Meeting tonight. This is a new experiment. :-) I would have gone with Larry to co-host but I have an early meeting tomorrow and can't sleep later in the morning. So, they are trying a father/son deal tonight. Can't wait! They went to the hockey game together tonight and are heading over to the studio directly afterwards. Amidst our busy day today we carved out time for staff lunch and today I posed a discussion topic that was interesting. I knew I'd be preaching to the choir and we'd all be in agreement. I've noticed a p attern with many people these days that when one member of the family is sick or away on business, the other members of the family take that as reason to stay home from church. Consider these scenarios that are completely fictional. I'm not speaking of anyone who wasn't there this past Sunday. Please don't wonder, "who's she talking about?" I'm talking purely in general terms here about what I see as a widespread happening. Scenario 1: Husband goes on business trip on the weekend. Wife and kids who are still home don't go to church for this reason. Scenario 2: Mr. and Mrs. Jones have three kids. Four out of five family members are feeling just fine, however one child is sick. Mrs. Jones plans to stay home from church to take care of said ch...

Yesterday we had a great day at church. Larry preached like a man on fire! Seriously, he was off his chain. We had a choir lunch and rehearsal for Easter afterwards. I was really ready to blow off steam afterwards and do something. Not that anything was stressful or bad - it was a great day. I just needed to relax. I came home and biked 5 miles. I never do that on a Sunday but yesterday just felt like it. I push myself hard however there are moments going down a hill on a beautiful day that it's just heaven. I came home and showered and cleaned up again and since Savanna was sleeping over at Britney's last night we had the night to ourselves and we went to dinner and a movie. We went to see Duplicity starring Julia Roberts and Clive Owen. I didn't like the movie but Larry did. Dustin said they have gotten a lot of complaints about the movie at the theatre and a lot of people said it was "too complicated." I agree. However none of that really matters -- I just had ...

Today I slept in which was amazingly wonderful. Teeb and I stayed up late spending time together which is my fav thing to do especially on a Friday night. When I woke up this morning I went out on my bike and intended on doing about 3 miles minimum, 5 maximum but ended up doing more! I was having such a great time I just didn't come home for a while. It helped that I had my Zune loaded with a bunch of new songs. That was the best part of my day just out on my bike. After sitting on the patio for a while reading my bible I got showered and cleaned up and started my work for the day which entailed some finishing touches on my teaching and things for tomorrow, making a huge dish for tomorrow's choir dinner, doing a few loads of clothes, and general cleaning of the house. I'm still not done and have a ways to go but I just needed a short blogging break so here I am. Looking forward to having everything squared away in a few hours so I can snuggle up with Teeb, probably watch at...

Today I have two unavoidable short assignments to do, but other than that it's going to be FUN FRIDAY and spending it with the love of my life (besides Jesus)...my husband! I know some women say they are married to Jesus. That's cool and all, but honestly... laying in bed with my husband last night I had a moment where I was real glad I wasn't just married to Jesus...lol I will invite you to join me today over at Take Root and Write , where I write a monthly column for pastor's wives called "Survive and Thrive Ministry Wives."
