FYI for anyone who wants to tune in... Larry will be hosting America's Prayer Meeting on CTN again tonight, (guest hosting for Richard Dortch who is the regular host.) I always say I'm not going to stay up and watch the whole thing, but I end up doing it anyway. It's not that I'm not proud of my husband, but I am so used to him being on there since he's guest hosted so many times now over the past few years that I am okay to Tivo it and plan to watch the next day to check out what happened. But I never end up sleeping. I just can't. Even when he hosts for days in a row, I stay up. He comes home and says, "I can't believe you waited up!" each time. I have even called in before and told the screener, "this is Pastor Larry's wife, Deanna. When you go to break, please tell him his tie is crooked. Most bloggers that I know have few problems with anonymous comments that are not appropriate. I truly do believe in my heart that the majority of the world is too sane for this kind of behavior. Thus, we don't experience problems on a widespread scale with this sort of thing. But every once in a while, an anonymous commenter comes and ruins it for the rest when a blogger doesn't allow anonymous comments anymore. In this post, I'd like to examine a side of this that some may have never thought about. My subject today is not one of complaining about anonymous commenters, but to share with you my thought on the value of anonymous comments. Let me say first of all that when an anonymous critical letter has ever come to my attention in 21 years of ministry, whether it be through snail mail, e-mail, or whatever - I delete it or throw it in the trash and give it absolutely no credibility. I believe most leaders/pastors do the same. Most of us have absolutely no time for such cowa...

Today was our church day at the beach ~ picnic and water baptism, after morning worship. (Another benefit of living in paradise...) Susan was baptized today. (See picture at top.) After lunch we swam. We weren't there until sunset as we normally are because it thunderstormed after only about and hour or hour and half at most of swimming. BUMMER. But the time we did have was so blessed. It was beautiful! The lifeguards made everyone get out when the lightning started. At that point most had to go home but Larry said, "let's go home and shower and change and go ou t to the movies with anybody who wants to go see Iron Man . So we did! Fun! I'm still tired - longing for a weekend with some real downtime next Friday. "No emergencies" is my prayer...during my work week this week, this is seriously going to be a prayer focus for me. I need a true day off. I might even do a "PJ day!" Seriously, I'm overdue. G'night. I'm extremely ready for sleep...

As heard in Brady-land, or....Florida if you are involved in women's ministries! Today was the "Day of Refreshing" for Tampa Assemblies of God Women. I'm the Tampa women's ministries leader and head up events for the churches in our section as well as make myself available to help other leaders. At least that is part of the job description. I love helping others! I love serving! Today was our latest event, and we started with breakfast this morning at 9:00 and four workshops taught by area leaders. We have some great leaders in our area. After the workshops, we moved on to a service all together in the sanctuary and our special speaker today was Marsha Woolley, our women's director for Florida. The woman can preach the wallpaper off the walls, I'm tellin' you! She's something else. If you've never heard her preach, and you ever have the opportunity, TAKE IT! She delivered a powerful word and ministered in the altars, and woww-eeeeeee...

I hope my weight won't be up today now that I ate that gnocchi Thursday and biscuits with gravy yesterday... I know, that's real audacity, but I can still hope. I hope everyone realizes how much socialized medicine would cripple this country. (If we had it when my son was so sick, he'd probably not be with us right now I shudder to think...no, I don't wanna think about it. What a nightmare.) I hope I can lead someone to Christ this week. I hope my kids know just how much their Momma loves them and will always be there for them. I hope I can reach my weight goal by end of summer. I hope I can quickly work out the details of my Africa trip. I hope I am closer to Jesus this week than last week. I hope every pastor's wife on the planet knows how special she is.

Graduation! Graduation! I'm up to my ears in G-R-A-D-U-A-T-I-O-N! Tonight we attended Stephen's graduation party. Sarah did a wonderful job planning it. That girl has more talents... I love her to absolute pieces. It was a fun time filled with wonderful food, conversation and noise (talking, music, games, yada yada yada) I forgot my camera, but happen to have this photo on hand of the three boys...(left to right ~ Dustin, Jordan, Stephen) I met the nicest lady tonight at the party. She is an old friend of the Taylor's and she said she was from Maryland. I said, "so am I! Baltimore!" She said, "me too!" I said, "awesome! What part?" She looked at me like I probably had never heard of it and said..."Dundalk." Larry and I cracked up because basically it's the same place I'm from...a hop, skip and a jump over to Sparrows Point. :-) Needless to say we had a lot to talk about during the evening and even exchanged e-mail addresses.
